Schonbrunn, the gardens

[click to enlarge] After the tour of the imperial apartments, we walked through the french gardens in the backyard, visited the Neptune fountain, and walked up the hill to the Gloriette (bottom left in the collage above). Joss fell asleep there, I told three asian guys to keep it down because of the baby, and everyone gave their feet a rest while we looked out at the view of the skyline:
Then the others went down and conquered the labyrinth and maze while I caught up on my Ira Glass and Joss caught his zzzz's.
We were plenty worn out by that time, but we still didn't cover all the stuff in the palace grounds. Next time maybe I'll make the kids find things like a treasure hunt: the original schonbrunn, the obelisk, the palmenhaus, a mallard duck, the roman ruins . . .
