After learning about Gutenberg and the invention of movable type and the printing press, Rob took the students to the Technology Museum, where we learned how to create a page for printing. It took me back to my scripture-embossing days at the LDS Bookstore in Woodminster, and Rob was surprised at how efficiently I managed to fill in a few words upside down. One of those hidden talents that I don't use much any more.
We would put up a mirror to check and make sure that it was turning out the way we intended (this one says "we ain't got no mo crazy bread up in here!" and was the punch line of a well-told story about going to the local pizza establishment).
While Rob and I fiddled with little metal pieces of type, Sebastian pulled out his CarsdaMoofie backpack and took out his cars to play with. He kept himself well-entertained until it was time to pull out the ink and get really messy.
Then Sebastian and mom went out and visited some of the trains in the roundhouse, the motorcyles, the boats, and the airplanes hanging from the ceiling. This museum is really something! We have been twice now, and we still haven't even scratched the surface.

Absolutely! We plan that we'll need a day here. Like I said, there are four or five buildings, and we've only made it through one or two. Dad is going to love this one.
